@50ptMAE For longer term I do the crowded trade though, easy money in semis prob over, lower exposure in techs, avoid mags and own the rest 497. Port volatility has become annoying
@50ptMAE Aren’t we front running smth like this already? I feel like “MAGS is back” narrative is becoming more and more crowded so mags neutral and bounce in semis. Spx/ndq spread shrinks and overall impact is slightly positive. Wishful thinking though
@Crussian17 Chasing nvda for the last couple years hasn’t been a greatest idea, mostly dead money but folks still do that i guess. What’s the catalyst for upside apart from positioning you mentioned? Thanks
@50ptMAE Time to scoop a few you think? I bought EWY today, felt like sentiment is way too dramatic. But it trades like it can puke one more time bigly
@MacrostratPB I’ve just closed mags on recent move and sold most of semis which I now want back at these levels. That’s why the Q about why do you think semis have another leg down. My feeling worst case they be dead money like NVDA for the last 2 years but won’t be a clean downside
@MacrostratPB Interesting. Do you think semis have another 10-15% down? What I’m a bit worried is that mags had a good bounce while semis broadly had profit taking and maybe margin calls (Korea mostly). Feels like at least short term both legs can suck wind. META can be also a drag in mags imo
@EconstratPB I left 12 years ago. Best investment ever. I’m just not a fan of riding horses: cold in winter and no AC in summer heat. But yeah, such a shame. I was 14 when putin came to power. I turned 40 few months ago.
@codytrades I know you had few misses in semis but this was great. I’m wondering what you thinking if tactical long for 2-3 weeks is a good idea? GPU availability is low and rental rates are stable. Feels like this rotation is premature and about to turn. Total tourist here tbh
