Day 2 of choir recording sessions and we have just finished recording Cecilia McDowall’s wonderful Shakespeare settings, ‘When time is broke’, under the expert direction of @CooperElinor. First performed by the @BBCSingers and @davidhconductor in 2016, we’ve loved the challenge!
@wjbdawes The afternoon has been spent working in smaller consort groups with no more than two singers to a part. Our four consorts are already shaping up well in preparation for tomorrow’s concert, for which tickets are still available: https://t.co/TdWZKOVIC6
And that’s a wrap for ISAN 2024 👋 thanks to the organising committees in Oxford and Birmingham, to all the speakers and to everyone who attended. Safe travels!
Thank you to our DPhil History candidate Jagyoseni Mandal for this stunning photo of the aurora borealis over Christ Church, captured in the early hours of Saturday morning! #MuChChLove
I was drawn to autonomic research both through biophysics and through the breadth of this system: it gives us an excuse to be interested in every organ with an innervation!

Some of our organ pupils enjoyed playing the amazing organ St Eustache thanks to the amazing Thomas Hospital after the choir sang Mass earlier. We loved hearing his improvisations during it! More photos from earlier in the day to follow.
