On the 11th of December 2025, the Irish Government approved the use of facial recognition technology for the investigation of "serious crime".

It always starts with the low hanging fruit, as in, "serious crime", but it always ends up at "if you did nothing wrong, you should have nothing to fear".

The right to privacy is not something gifted to us by politicians, it is a fundamental right that we own by virtue of being alive.

I prepared a video about 3 months ago, setting out the laws that the Irish Government hoped to push through over the coming 12 months and this was one of them - Garda Síochána (Recording Devices) (Amendment) Bill 2025

If you educate yourself and others on the true intent of these politicians, we might stand some chance at holding back the tidalwave on the horizon.

On the 8th of December 2025, the Minister for Justice and Migration, Jim O’Callaghan met with other European leaders, in Brussels, to discuss migration across the European Union.

Two interesting developments have flowed from this meeting:

It was agreed that Ireland is under “Risk of Migratory Pressure” – noting that this is a term used throughout the EU Migration and Asylum Pact to describe a country that has been ravaged by economic migrations, falsely claiming to be asylum seekers.

Ireland has agreed to pay a financial penalty of €9.26m to the European Union in 2027, to support other countries, who are under migratory pressure, instead of accepting relocation to Ireland of their asylum seekers.

So, on the one hand, we are determined to be a country in migratory crisis, and on the other hand, we are still being asked to accept more fake asylum seekers or pay a financial penalty to the European Union.

If Irish politicians had any backbone (and I accept that they do not), they would follow Hungary’s lead and tell the European Union where to go.

Ireland will pay a financial penalty of €9.26m in 2027, whereas Hungary is being fined €1m per day for their refusal to comply with EU Asylum Laws.

I would take the fine over the penalty any day. If you stand for nothing, you will fall for everything.
