It was my refuge. It held relationship, love and was where memories were made and life unfolded. I find it now akin to a museum or gallery. I catch myself lingering in the car putting off coming in. I’ll seek out trails and sunsets first.

That marker used to be more helpful. But look! Beargrass (tall white flower) is going off. And not sure what the tidy compact blooms are in the other pic but pretty.

Such a beautiful hike. Starts cool and level, fern and flower carpeted, then becomes hectic w deadfall and earth torn up from fire lines dug several years ago.

Up over the top are 4 high lakes. Next time I’ll get an earlier start and continue over the ridge and see what’s what.
