Today, the @CityBrampton unveiled Contours of Connection, a new memorial public artwork honouring the legacy of Premier William G. Davis.

Located at @VisitPAMA, the sculpture was developed in partnership with the Government of Ontario and with support from the Davis family. Designed by artists Xiaojing Yan and Lilly Otasevic, the layered steel panels reveal Mr. Davis’ likeness, and the words 'educate' and 'inspire', reflecting his lifelong commitment to public education and civic service.

Premier Davis, who served as Ontario’s 18th Premier from 1971 to 1985, was also a Member of Provincial Parliament for the Riding of Peel from 1959 to 1967 and for the Riding of Peel North from 1967 to 1975. His legacy includes the creation of Ontario’s college system, TVO, four new universities, the Ministry of the Environment, the Charter of Rights & Freedoms and expanded support for French & Catholic education.

This new memorial is a lasting tribute to a leader whose impact continues to shape Brampton and beyond.
