I hope everyone takes a couple minutes to listen to McKenzie Bailey's inspiring message. After the @GeorgetownHS senior won gold in the 5A girls' 3200m, the future @TCUTrackField standout was incredibly courageous about the challenges she had to overcome to just compete at #UILState.

"I don't need a gold medal to say that I'm amazing. We're all amazing as we are. If I just embrace the journey and embrace the people that are there and the experiences along the way, it means so much more when you do reach those goals."

For the first time in my career, thousands of interviews, a high school student-athlete has chillingly moved me to tears. What deep perspective. Thank you for sharing your story, McKenzie. Your vulnerability will no doubt help so many others.
