@SadBatter Munoz was arguably the 4th most valuable piece of the return in the Nola trade, coming off TJ at the time and Brash was a PTBNL during his trade. They were far from locks to be elite bullpen arms. Ms get credit for identifying, acquiring and developing them

I’m not really moved one way or the other with this trade. The cost feels high but also Ford wasn’t gonna help much this year vs Ferrer could help a ton

@SadBatter @TruetotheMs @IISwitchII If Ferrer is a high leverage reliever, trading Ford for him is totally fine with me. Still on his rookie contract. Ferrer could also be a pumpkin, just like Ford could be. I’m gonna have to wait for the results before I judge this trade tbh. Not big on ford is the main reason

@DarrenTrain @MarinerMuse Biggest and obvious reasons that come to mind is that
A. he is still incredibly young. Just turned 21, giving him time to potentially develop an infield glove.
B. Switching to OF plummets his trade value.
I’m sure there are other reasons as well

@DarrenTrain Him leaving for the DR, even if it was unannounced, after his home was broken into or him asking for a day off aren’t off the field issues. He also acknowledged it and apologized. Trevor Bauer, Josh Hamilton or Wander Franco are people with off the field issues.

I really hope that 9M isn’t the reason why the Ms couldn’t get another FA like Polo. Also Montes/JC is a lot more imo compared to the Randy trade. Would definitely hurt
