This Charity Day, I am so honored to announce we raised a record $20 million!
Grateful to our teams in New York and London, our celebrity ambassadors, and everyone across @Official_Cantor and @BGCGroupInc who helped turn a day of loss into a day of impact. Proud to lead a firm where giving back is part of who we are.
On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Cantor and @BGCGroupInc hosted our annual Charity Day, raising over $20 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 for @CantorRelief and hundreds of charities globally.
Since its inception in 2002, Charity Day has been one of our most powerful ways of giving back, turning remembrance into service in honor of the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald and 61 Euro Brokers colleagues and friends we lost on 9/11.
𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚, as celebrity ambassadors joined our teams in New York and London, and Cantor and BGC Group donated a day's revenue to help those in need around the world.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success.
In a world where you can be anything, be kind.❤️
Such a special day with @frelieffund. So many incredible people came together, hit the trading floor and raised money for charities they care about.
Thank you @brandonlutnick and the entire Cantor Fitzgerald team for turning a day of remembrance into a day of giving, and for supporting my charity and so many others.
Grateful to be a small part of something so meaningful. Be kind and love always

Charity Day at @Official_Cantor has been incredible. Here's a glimpse of the many people that came together, got involved, and gave back to causes that mean so much to all of us.
Doug Gardner is my best friend. He’ll always be my best friend.
We first met in college and were great friends ever since.
Our careers came together, we raised our families together, and we shared every major milestone in our lives.
Doug had a huge heart. He absolutely loved his wife Jennifer and his children, Michael and Julia.
The weekend before 9/11 we were in Central Park together teaching our boys how to ride a bike. Doug was much more successful because Michael started riding very quickly.
Doug made me better. He loved his family, he loved his friends, and he brought joy everywhere he went.
I miss my friend Doug Gardner
My brother Gary was kindest and most fun person I knew. Gary was happy in every photo.
Over the past 25 years, nearly every day there has been a moment when I’ve thought to myself, I wish Gary was here.
Gary was killed at the young age of 36 for being an American and going to work that morning in the greatest country in the world.
I love and miss you every day, my brother.
The 658 @Official_Cantor and 61 Euro Brokers colleagues who lost their lives on 9/11 remain a lasting part of our history, alongside the thousands of others who were lost that day. That’s why today, I'm proud to share In Their Honor, a story about what was lost, what was rebuilt and what we carry forward.
In the 25 years since 9/11, their stories have been carried by the people who knew and loved them. But we wanted to help ensure those stories, lives and legacies could withstand the test of time and be remembered by generations who never knew 9/11 firsthand.
Twenty-five years after 9/11, Charity Day is how we honor and remember the colleagues we lost. Every year since, we've come together to carry that memory forward. I spoke with @TradedVC about how it began, what it means to @Official_Cantor today, and the great work of @CantorRelief.
Meet Brandon Lutnick (@Brandonlutnick), Cantor Fitzgerald's chairman @Official_Cantor / @CantorRelief
Cantor Fitzgerald was founded in 1945 and today spans Cantor, BGC Group, and Newmark, with more than 16,000 employees across 30+ countries.
But Cantor's story is inseparable from September 11th.
The firm occupied floors 101 through 105 of the North Tower of the World Trade Center and lost more than 700 friends and colleagues that day, including Brandon’s uncle.
In the years that followed, Cantor committed 25% of its profits for five years to the families of those lost, covered their healthcare for 10 years, and ultimately distributed approximately $180 million.
Every September 11th, Cantor continues that legacy through Charity Day, donating an entire day’s revenue to more than 150 charitable organizations while athletes, actors, musicians, and other public figures join the trading floor.
25 years later, the mission remains the same: honor those lost, support their families, and never forget.
We caught up with Brandon to hear the story behind Cantor Fitzgerald, Charity Day, and what September 11th means to him and the firm.
We'll see you all on Charity Day this week 😉
Over the years, some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment have stepped off the field, court and stage and onto the Charity Day trading floor to support the causes closest to them.

THE FAMILIES are the reason we remember. Their stories are the reason we never forget.
Today, we’re carrying our commitment to legacy forward with the release of THE FAMILIES: 9/11 Anthology of Love, Loss and Lessons of Resilience. Through 176 firsthand accounts from @Official_Cantor family members, survivors and witnesses, THE FAMILIES preserves memories of September 11 while sharing lessons of resilience, purpose and love that have emerged in the 25 years since.
Edited by President and Executive Director, @edielutnick, and General Counsel, @AikenKoster, the anthology is both an act of remembrance and a way to ensure these stories and lessons endure for future generations.
As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and our annual Charity Day, THE FAMILIES is a continuation of the promise at the heart of both: to never forget those we lost and to turn remembrance into lasting impact.
