2028 SS @devphillips15 of @BaseballCramer is one of my favorite players to watch in WNC from any grad class right now.

Had a huge hit in the 2nd to put Cramer back up over Burns. He also scored the winning run in the bottom of 8th inning. High-motor athlete that doesn't take any plays off. Hit tool is really starting to flash well

He also made a couple great defensive webgems in the game, flashing an above avg glove tool.

Was 2 for 3 w/ a BB, 2 RBI, and 2 R

2028 MIF @Devphillips15 of @BaseballCramer may have been the youngest Position Player on 8/16, but he may have been the most mature when it came to overall approach and presence.

Devin showed very well at the plate, using the whole field, and peppering EVs up to 93 MPH. Compact, strong, already physical 5'9" 180 frame

Great feel at SS, eyes stay behind the ball. Good rhythm. De-cleats, tracks it all the way in. Arm was up to 81 mph across the diamond.

4.3 GPA. Came highly recommended from Head Coach @Scholz_Matt

I don't typically chase down Freshmen or Rising Sophomores for our Prospect Filmings as they have plenty of time to wait their turn in the recruiting process.

However, if I've scouted a Prospect, or a Prospect comes highly recommended in the 2028 Class, I will consider inviting them out, as there are some benefits to starting your recruiting marketing early if you are flashing above average tools
