@karanjagtiani04 The GEM "snapshots" the docs when invoked (a new thread), then doesn't update again. So the added latency is very low compared to the chain-of-thought thinking time.

I’ve found something in Gemini GEMs that feels like a hidden OS.
It starts with an "aha" moment: a Google Doc attached as a knowledge file is "live."
This isn't just for RAG. It's for instructions. Gemini can treat doc content as executable code for its own prompt. 👇

I'm only just beginning to figure out where this could go in terms of a true "Leadership assistant".
For anyone interested, I've open-sourced the router & "skills file" for this system here: https://t.co/nYcPcLAaI4
Collaboration welcome!

This is where GEMs break, @joshwoodward. The Gemini side panel is actively fighting the GEM:
- Force-injects the open doc, overriding the context.
- Lets the GEM silently skip core/output instructions.
Fixing this would transform Workspace use👇
@nikolausvolk rented a car from you this morning at 8am and it arrived 9:30. Great! Really bad though - can’t add my wife as a driver since it’s <2 hrs before trip time 🤕. Customer support is flailing. Please help.
Congrats to the @coda_hq team on the launch of their new Doc Gallery https://t.co/EYa7RJzyM8. The team collaborated with me to publish my Map Visualization app, which you can find alongside other tools, templates and docs https://t.co/TmbSLvIF2u
