@thehill I was alive and I waited, waited
I was alive and I waited for this
Right here, right now
there is no other place I want to be
Right here, right now
watching the world wake up from history
~Jesus Jones 1990
@atensnut Dust storms are a normal part of the southern AZ clime. We even have heated discussions about whether or not to rename them haboobs. There's nothing new about this. Unfortunately, there's nothing new about Valley Fever, neither. It's a well-known illness here.
@SomeBitchIIKnow I have an English degree. I have NEVER been liberal, even as a teenager. (middle aged pushing senior, now) I remember my eyeballs hurt by the end of the day from all the rolling they did during class. It strengthened my resolve not to have the common sense educated out of me. 🇺🇸
@SleazyWeez I blocked him because I'm tired of seeing his posts popping up in my feed. It didn't work, though, because everyone else is posting screenshots. Believe me, I'm missing nothing. If only I could be so lucky.
@Prominent_Bryan Older homes (~ 1960s or earlier, in particular) don't have them, unless they were added later during a remodel. They had windows in the bathroom and didn't need them. Today, most bathrooms don't have windows. The few that do add fans, anyway, because they're expected. (and code)
@SeansGravy@ThrillaRilla369 No joke. They make "earth friendly" packing peanuts out of potato starch. I tasted one, and I didn't die. So, you might actually be able to use those.
@atensnut "The first felt-tipped marking pen was patented by Lee Newman in 1910. However, the modern, widely used felt-tip "Magic Marker" was invented by Sidney Rosenthal in 1953, and the popular "Sharpie" was released in 1964." ~Google
@KeruboSk My great great grandmother was born in 1893. She died in her 90s when I was in jr. high. I didn't see her often but once in a while. I wouldn't say we "talked," but I would give her a hug and say hi when she was there. Interestingly, my first child was born in 1993.
@data_republican@atensnut It's based on where it was issued. Younger generations got SSNs right after birth, so it checks out. We older folks got them usually with our first job, so it may not be the same state where we were born.
