Javion, a recent CDL holder, was on a delivery route when his body was discovered without his phone or wallet, yet authorities claim suicide.

Context/Details:

At Logan Airport, 19-year-old Fareedat Folunsho was arrested just before her flight to London with approximately 70 pounds of marijuana.

This substantial amount of marijuana, which is illegal in the UK, is valued at about $5,000 per pound. Folunsho, originally from London, faces charges of trafficking marijuana between 50 to 100 pounds, a crime which carries a potential sentence ranging from two and a half to 15 years in state prison.

Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden's office revealed that she was held on $1,500 bail and required to surrender her passport after her arraignment at East Boston BMC. She is scheduled to return to court for a probable cause hearing on May 21.

This arrest marks the second instance in two months where individuals were caught at Logan attempting to transport large quantities of marijuana to the UK. Another case involved a Michigan woman found with 74 pounds of the drug.

Hayden said that “these two arrests in a fairly short time span should make it quite clear to anyone else trying to fly marijuana to the U.K. through Boston that it’s not a good idea, to say the least,” He said. “It didn’t work for these two women and it’s not likely to work for anyone else either.”
