1⃣2⃣. Excited to share that I came out as the second runner-up in the Youth Ignite Student Founders Fellowship securing a 2M TZS seed fund! 🥉

This incredible program, funded by the @Funguo_Tz and executed by @StartHubAfrica, aims at empowering university students in Tanzania to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable career path. It took me on an unforgettable journey of growth and learning. The fellowship kicked off with a 2-day ideathon at @UdsmOfficial and other 9 universities across Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar, where I had the chance to network with passionate young innovators and collaborate on creative solutions for real-world problems. 🧠💡

Next, out of 1000 applicants 30 were chosen and taken to Serene Beach Resort for an intense 1-week bootcamp, which included hands-on workshops, mentorship sessions, and practical training on everything from market research to business development. 🌟 We received invaluable insights from industry experts such @DawaMkononi and fellow entrepreneurs, helping us refine our ideas and strategies.

Finally, the experience culminated in a pitching contest held at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, where I proudly pitched CargoConnect, a digital platform designed to connect small-scale traders with independent truck owners. 🚚💻 Through shared truck usage, we reduce costs and boost efficiency by avoiding empty return trips, creating a sustainable solution for the transport sector in Tanzania.

In just a short time, my team and I were able to conduct market research at Mabibo Market, meet with key players in the transport sector, and complete 2 test trips from Dar es Salaam to Mbeya and back. 🚚🚛 We engaged 14 small traders, 8 truck drivers, and 3 key transport sector players, gathering valuable feedback that will shape the future of CargoConnect.

The Youth Ignite Fellowship, has given me access to an incredible ecosystem of mentors, investors, and industry leaders, and I’m extremely grateful for the continued support and exposure. 🙏 This initiative not only empowered me to take my business from an idea to execution but also helped me see the wider impact entrepreneurship can have on Tanzania's economic and social transformation.
