Happy birthday to the indomitable Taylor Swift!

Poised to make her long-awaited debut as a feature film director.

Happy 36th birthday to the iconic Taylor Swift.

The 14x Grammy-winning superstar, who debuted in 2006, has taken the world by storm era after era, and record after record. Her impact has ranged from her songwriting talents, which landed her a Songwriter Hall of Fame nomination in her first year of eligibility, to the phenomenon of the Eras Tour, which is the highest-grossing tour of all time. She is the first artist in history to hold the entire Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 multiple times, which no other artist has done once. She was named TIME’s Person of the Year in 2023 and, this year, broke the record for biggest album opening in Billboard 200 history when her twelfth studio album opened at four million units. She also gained ownership to her first six albums and now fully owns her entire discography, which boasts four Album of the Year wins — the most for any singer ever.

It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.

The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th on @DisneyPlus

Your thoughtless AMBITION
sparked the IGNITION
On foolish DECISIONS,
which led to misguided VISIONS
That to fulfill your dreams
You had to get rid of MEEEEEEEEEEE

‘THE FATE OF OPHELIA’ starring & directed by Taylor Swift.

Being in the studio and creating these songs was an unforgettable experience, but luckily I don’t ever have to forget it because I was recording while we were writing - and now it’s a way to look back on the process and give you guys a glimpse into how we wrote these songs, and hear the moments we thought of these ideas in real time.

The Life of a Showgirl (DELUXE Alone In My Tower Acoustic Version) featuring “The Life of a Showgirl” (Original Songwriting Voice Memos) Act 1 & Act 2 are available now on iTunes for 24 hours.

Writing, rehearsing, directing and shooting the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia” was the thrill of a lifetime because I got to be reunited with my Eras Tour family!! I wanted each one-take scene to feel like a live performance and remind us all of how it felt to be at those shows together. Making every moment count. It’s a journey through the chaotic world of show business. I loved working with Rodrigo Prieto, Ethan Tobman and Mandy Moore to dream up these visuals. A huge thank you to this massive cast who kept it 💯 and also kept the secret of this video even existing. It’s out on YouTube NOW!

Tonight all these lives converge here
The mosaics of laughter and cocktails of tears
Where fraternal souls sing identical things
And it’s beautiful
It’s rapturous.
It is frightening.

I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right. A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait.

If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain...

The Life of a Showgirl is out now.
