Bentley Shelton (2027 Guard) put together an impressive summer on the New Balance P32 Circuit, emerging as one of Darius Garland Elite’s @DGEliteNB most versatile and dependable players. Competing against some of the nation’s top talent, Shelton consistently showcased his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor, proving he could defend multiple positions while expanding his offensive arsenal. His strong play throughout the live periods has continued to generate momentum on the recruiting trail. Shelton now holds a multitude of Division I offers, including a recent offer from Air Force, while several other programs continue to show strong interest. With a number of major campus visits on the horizon, his recruitment is only continuing to trend upward.

Former NBA player Winston Garland praised Shelton’s growth while also highlighting the continued rise of Darius Garland Elite on the New Balance P32 Circuit. “Bentley had a great summer with us. He showed he could play multiple positions. This was our third year in the New Balance league, and it’s been good. Darius Garland is putting his resources into it and helping build the program.” Program director Antwon Brown echoed those sentiments, saying, “The season went well. This was our third year on the New Balance P32 Circuit, and we’ve really picked things up. There are a lot of good teams, especially at the top. Having Bentley was refreshing. He’s a great teammate who knows how to play the game the right way, whether he’s on or off the ball. He developed throughout the season.”

Shelton believes the summer gave him the opportunity to demonstrate the complete evolution of his game. “I felt like I was able to stand out and show how much I’ve developed,” Shelton said. “I showed I can shoot off the dribble, handle the ball, and play positions one through four. Being a versatile defender was something I wanted to prove, and I felt like I did that throughout the events.” Looking ahead, Shelton plans to play with the YNG Dreamerz @yngdreamerz in Overtime Elite @OvertimeElite , where he hopes to continue showing the growth in his game. “I want to keep showing how my game is developing,” Shelton said.

Having evaluated Shelton over the past several years, I’ve watched him grow from a knockdown shooter into a much more complete player. With good size for a shooting guard, positional versatility, and a continually expanding skill set, Shelton has established himself as an intriguing Division I prospect with his best basketball still ahead of him.

Coming off a great season with NY City Rocks EYBL , Shelton is a knockdown shooter who can heat up in a hurry. He is dynamic guard that , make plays for teammates, and is becoming lethal in the mid-range as well. At 6’5, he’s got nice positional size and uses it well on both ends.
