Okay so in an absolutely wild turn of events...apparently some of these LITERALLY GRADED A 10 but PSA FALSELY told me they were 9s...
Some of these slabs that were originally marked as a PSA 9, I sold back to PSA at their PSA 9 buyback value - but now if you look at that cert, ITS A PSA 10
They bought PSA 10s from me for less than PSA 9 value because they showed me the wrong grades...or did they change them after the fact????
By now you may have heard that PSA changed grades for 36% of the cards from a customer’s submission from 9s to 10s after a customer complained in a post.
However, the customer already sold the cards through PSA offers. While perhaps the seemingly unscrupulous situation may be a bunch of coincidences put together, the outcome seems shady as hell.
1. You can’t reuse the unique ID and change the grade, this breaks the entire integrity of the numbering system
2. You can’t change a grade based on a complaint unless you have this service available for the rest of us.
3. Changing the grades after you have “bought” the card, so now it can be marked up, is criminal behavior.
I like PSA overall but this is why we should not have monopolies and have a separation of grading entities vs. buying/selling entities.
I love PSA but this is insane. I always thought it was a myth until it happened to me. This is the same card.
Was a PSA 6, cracked and resubmitted and now it’s a beautiful PSA 10.
