@CoachJTAyers Totally agree!!!! Transfers should lose an entire year.
CIF needs to look at those schools recruiting (uh...south county private school) and actually make sanctions. Learn to coach and not win by recruiting!!! Just saying!
@SteveFryer Not surprising athletes are transferring from public to private? (not Barker's case-surprised there!) With private schools recruiting with no ramifications, not surprised....many that you have not mentioned will come to light. Time to separate public and private schools in cif!
At the Ayala Invitational, @CIFSS Division 1 power Long Beach Jordan off to an inauspicious start as hurdler Jacob Hernandez (14.99 PR) clubs several hurdles and finishes second to @Brea_Running Roman Giachetto (16.13).
@CUBuffsTrack@karagoucher @Adam_Goucher I used to do my summer runs half an hour after dinner to push through cramps....but a rock in my shoe, I could not do!
Brea Olinda Track and Field wins 4 levels vs Canyon….clinches Crestview league championships on girls and boys JV! Also wins Girls Varsity and Boys FS!!!!
It is with a sad heart that we share the news that longtime track and field visionary and promoter Al Franken has passed away. He truly was one of a kind and a legend in many ways. We lost one of the best ever today. He was 96. Rest In Peace, Big Guy. 🙏🏻
For the first time in my career I was exposed to HIGH LEVEL track athletes. My main takeaways:
1) Track athletes move different then most team sport athletes when sprinting: fluid, coordinated & with intent
2) Training for track raises all tides of athletic development
@Dkellythhsgcc Horrible idea!!! CIF about the $ and not about what’s right! It takes a protest about the start line and a broken collarbone in the first race And they decide…let’s put more teams in finals?????
USC needs a coaching change at halftime!!!! Take an SC fan out of the stand and let them coach. He/she will know that Dart will bring a win!
@USC_Athletics
Five things that mature athletes do:
1. Show up on time.
2. Work hard in school.
3. Take care of their bodies.
4. Stay out of trouble.
5. Treat others with respect.
In any other meet, Paul chelimo would have been DQd for obstruction but he NBC announcers say it was a great move???
Seriously??? He went out to lane 5
