This isn’t easy to write, but silence isn’t an option anymore.

Recently, I tweeted about the disturbing trend of se#ualized drawings of babies and young children in some online art spaces. I said it wasn’t okay.

Since then, my notifications have become a flood of rage. I’ve received countless death threats. It’s not stopping.
The core of every attack is the same accusation: that I want to “police art” and “censor fiction.”

But here’s what they are all deliberately ignoring, what not a single quote-tweet or angry message has addressed:
I was talking about drawings of infants and toddlers in se#ual contexts.

They skip that part. Every time. They call it “fiction” and say it’s harmless, as if labeling something “art” automatically voids any ethical discussion. As if the subject - a baby - doesn’t matter at all.

I am a survivor of SA. Seeing this content, and then seeing it vehemently defended while I am threatened for calling it out, is triggering on a level I can’t fully describe. It feels like the same violation, the same dismissal, all over again. To be told my trauma-informed perspective is “censorship” while being told to die in the same breath… it’s beyond hypocrisy. It’s evil.

Fiction is powerful. It shapes norms and desensitizes. Drawing a line at sexualizing the most vulnerable among us, real or drawn, is not policing art. It is basic human decency.

I will not be silenced by threats. My opinion stands: this is not okay. We must stop normalizing this. If your defense of “artistic freedom” requires you to threaten a survivor and defend simulated child exploitation, you need to take a long, hard look at your soul.

This isn’t about a tweet. It’s about what we, as a society, are willing to accept. And I am not accepting this.
