@MMichelleAZ I feel like the dystopian books of the early 2010s gave us a new perspective on how a MC maneuvers their personal journey and that of their environment. It also challenged the pacing we saw in the SFF genre.

@MMichelleAZ I read a lot of female-led fantasy with crime fiction and select nonfiction interspersed. My favorite genre to write is mythology-driven contemporary fantasy. I love writing CF because I get to marry slice-of-life bits with high stakes fantasy plots.
