@EyalPress@NYTmag Thank you @EyalPress Emergency medicine use to be one of the most popular residencies for medical students; last year our students thought very differently I believe attributed to what your article describes: moral injury. https://t.co/PyOxJ0vwqI
Doctors have long been spared the degradation so many workers in the US experience, but the corporatization of medicine is changing this, fueling alienation and causing many physicians to feel moral distress, as I report in this week’s @NYTmag. https://t.co/JIwp7IsZtY
@CNN @joejohnscnn most of protesters currently outside the Supreme Court are “pro-choice”. Describing them as “pro-abortion” is inaccurate. Words matter.
Who thinks we are gonna run out of people to staff the hospitals by New Years? I’ve never had this many colleagues tell me that they are COVID+ at any one time since the pandemic began.
Today is the 5 year anniversary of the launch of FemInEM.
We started this organization with the goal of empowering women in emergency medicine and advocating for greater gender equity within the physician workforce.

An unvaxed teacher carrying the #DeltaVariant, with mild #COVID19 symptoms passed virus to 55% of students, as far away as 5 rows, while reading to class w/out wearing a mask. Marin, California.

Icu # of beds is totally an irrelevant narrative in the media. It’s about nursing capabilities and we have empty icus and boarding patients in the ED because there are no nurses. @KimiChernoby@marisadowling@DrPhillipsMD please share
@JordanFifer@DrPhillipsMD@gtconway3d@JordanFifer I hope they are reporting staffed beds, but I don’t see that clarification for the layperson when I see “# of ICU beds left by state” scrolling across media feeds. It’s misleading to those not in healthcare. Thanks to @DrPhillipsMD tweet for making it clearer
