it's probably the smartest way to play the character

- the character should NOT know what the mould means

the whole horror of the Backrooms is realizing the place has rules after you've already broken them

Kane Parsons' version worked because it didn't feel like lore homework

it felt like found footage from someone who slipped into the wrong room in reality and had no idea what was watching
