What a wonderful, beautiful, dreaming man. A thinker and creator. So grateful for his visit. The world feels sadder without him, like a light that has transcended, but he's in the ether nonetheless.
I was intrigued by the claim that the Red Lion on Crown Passage in St. James's is "reputedly the second oldest licence in the West End". Another pub history rabbit hole! I unearthed some previously unpublished (AFAICT) findings about the pub along the way.

Sad to hear Anthony Head has passed away.
The Gold Blend “will they, won’t they” ad campaign was a cultural phenomenon, an ongoing saga that lasted for 6 years, captivating audiences of 30 million. The inevitable kiss even made front page news. A landmark TV moment.
RIP Anthony
@LBC The Thorn Birds! That's where I remember him from. That was intense for an 8 year old! It was only four episodes, but it felt like forever! Great drama.
