Hermoine's smarts were intimidating to Ron & Harry, but she was accepted more by them after the troll incident. #harrypotter #engl501

It's pretty ironic that the only survivor in the bus accident was Mrs. "Cadaver". Of all names I wonder why Creech named her that. #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

I love how nature within the story is seen as just important as any of the characters. #naturelover #walktwomoons #engl501

Esperanza's journey was to help her develop and understand that life won't always be perfect and strength helps to move through it #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

Both books we've recently read has shown that life eventually forces you to grow up whether you want to or not. #Engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

Not gonna lie, I found myself teary-eyed for most parts of the book.. #sniffsniff #ignoranceisbliss

It's pretty neat to see how detailed children's books are. But why do authors create them so intricately? #hidden #symbols #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

Children always seek for approval from superiors. The panopticon idea/guard always watching is an interesting concept to consider. #engl501

Some of the vocabulary in Lawson's poems make me wonder what child age group this is geared towards. #highvocabularyuse #engl501

The illustrations of each story in "The Man in the Moon-Fixer's Mask" seem to be quite dull compared to the imagery the words give. #engl501

I find interesting that Lester's book cover gives off an innocent and happy vibe but the stories inside are no where near innocent. #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

Lester's collection of stories is unique and creative but also disturbing to read (death, Devil) giving it a child-centered impulse #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

Read Lester's book for next week.. It's super creative! #eng501

..."he stomped his right foot so hard into the ground that he fell in up to his waist". That was pretty intense! #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

It's cool to see that feminism was around even at that time #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

Is anyone else having a hard time finding a story similar to Lil Red Riding Hood? #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

Blue Beard was a disturbing story.. for adults... let alone it being a childrens story!! Smh #engl501

[Breanne Tacy @breetac11]

So far Sleeping Beauty is my favorite fairy tale! I love how there's more to the story then what we learned in our childhood. #engl501
