If you're in Baltimore tomorrow (10th) at Enoch Pratt Library on Cathedral@6:30 pm, my students are performing a live score that they composed for an amazing silent, black-and-white, 1928 French expressionist adaptation of E.A.Poe's 'Fall of the House of Usher'--and it's FREE!
@NotPerfectJustB @blkwomenread Hope y'all don't mind me popping in here...
Just wanted to throw myself out there as someone else who has developed stress-related chronic hives!
@field_of_reeds You actually put your out just after I discovered this whole thing, which was extra cool because I actually got to enjoy it in real time rather than showing up years late to the party!
There's a new VICE article on @brekfest's Storm Alert theme, and it's extra fun because they are clearly mistaking me for someone else 😅

@MartyTheElder Lol.. same here! I think I made it to ep 5 before I realized I had no idea what was going on and should probably cut my losses or go back and rewatch season 2.
I spoke to the wonderful @brekfest on the Weather Report Storm Alert track he wrote ages ago, and recently rediscovered celebrated by the internet. A nice, wholesome story to start your week off right.
Give the piece a read, and the song a listen! A real banger.
@GURGLEGUY12345 Probably the closest would be my website and sometimes random stuff on YouTube. New Years resolution will be to put my stuff out there!
@stairmaster_ It's not a bad trade... You get health insurance, job security, support staff, and get to make music all day!
But.. companies rarely have anything to lose by taking or giving credit, so it's kind of weird when they just... don't.
@MarcoDLC2@field_of_reeds Nope... wasn't even on my radar at the time!
Some friends of mine played a lot of Street Fighter II when we were in high school (not me, though.. I didn't really like fighting games), which afaik is the only game with Yoko Shimomura's music I had been exposed to at that time 🤯
@va_wanderer@field_of_reeds I spent a night recently reading through the comments on YouTube. It's truly incredible to see the response... but part of me worries about spoiling the allure of a good mystery!
@field_of_reeds I wish I could remember more about it... In particular, who was the producer/creative director/editor at TWC who, with at least 15 demos to choose from, picked THIS one.
