1/🧵Russia's invasion of Ukraine has prompted a massive humanitarian crisis. For many the feeling of helplessness is overwhelming 💔.
Here are some great ways to help (some not even requiring any money).

I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters.
In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.
If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.
Democracy dies in oligarchy.
The fact that four hostile drones tried to hit Zelenskyy’s plane & it’s barely a blip in the news cycle should terrify everyone. We’ve been dragged so deep into the chaos era that an attempted strike on a world leader doesn’t even break through. When this becomes normal, the world is in real danger.
Because of science:
Your mother survived childbirth. You never got polio. You’ve never seen smallpox. Your friend with type 1 diabetes is alive. That infection you had? Antibiotics cured it.
We don’t live longer because of luck. We live longer because science works.
Congratulations, Canada 🇨🇦 — a well-deserved first place.

The Russians started the war, and there is no other way to put it. The whole world is a witness. They came with aggression to destroy us. We stopped them. Europe helped, America helped. Russia failed to occupy Ukraine first and foremost because of the strength of the Ukrainian people – warriors and civilians – and, of course, thanks to our partners.
The United States says that a lot of blood has been shed and it’s enough. And we fully support them. But we must end this war in a way that prevents Russia from coming back a year later with a third invasion. They did not achieve their goal of occupying our country. But I am not sure their objectives have changed. They may simply hold up and we need protection for that.
What will happen tomorrow when our warriors come back home? When they once again become teachers, engineers, people of different professions? They will return, and Russia will continue building up its military strength, preparing for yet another invasion. This is why we want clarity. This is what Ukrainians need.
The fascism from the darkest days of Europe has returned and this time it speaks russian. Entire cities are being eradicated before our eyes. Don’t look away
😭 THIS video completely fucking broke me today.
It shows a man in Ternopil rocking the body of his child, the father was the only survivor in the apartment, he waited three days for the rescue of his wife and two children. 💔
This is what @JDVance and @POTUS want thanks for.
BREAKING: After talking to @SecRubio, @SenatorRounds announces that the 28 point plan was a Russian document, not a US document.
Full @SenatorRounds: "@SecRubio did make a phone call to us this afternoon. I think he made it very clear to us that we are the recipients of a proposal that was delivered to one of our representatives. It is not our recommendation, it is not our peace plan. It is a proposal that was received. And as an intermediary, we have made arrangements to share it. And we did not release it. It was leaked. It was not released by our members or our representatives... This is an opportunity to receive it and that it has been utilized and delivered to the Ukrainians, and that they will have an opportunity to respond. And in doing so, you now have one side being presented and the opportunity for the other side to respond."
MERZ: Tomorrow is the D Day anniversary, when the Americans ended a war in Europe
TRUMP: That was not a pleasant day for you? This is not a great day
MERZ: This was the liberation of my country from Nazi dictatorship
I spoke tonight with @POTUS, @Keir_Starmer, @Bundeskanzler and @GiorgiaMeloni after our talks in Kyiv and Tirana.
Tomorrow, President Putin must show he wants peace by accepting the 30-day unconditional ceasefire proposed by President Trump and backed by Ukraine and Europe.
Early this morning, I spoke with @ZelenskyyUA and many of our closest allies as part of the Coalition of the Willing.
We continue to support a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine without conditions or delays.
A path to peace has been proposed. An end to this senseless and brutal war is possible. Now, Russia must come to the table in good faith.
If Russia chooses to reject or delay the ceasefire, we’ll pursue further and stronger sanctions.
Meanwhile, in Kyiv.
Leaders of the free world walk the streets of the capital of the free world, honor the fallen, and visit its ancient sacred shrines, the heart of Christianity in this part of human civilization.
The American president should have been there, too, leading the free world in this dark period of history, but he chose to suck up to an insecure mad monster promising him monies.
8 people killed, 77 injured, an entire residential block wiped out in west Kyiv.
Tomorrow is an official day of mourning.
Russia is brazenly killing, killing, killing, and killing people in Ukraine, while Donald Trump seems to have run out of ways to appease Putin, who openly laughs at him and spits in his face.
