@GaelicRoadSign Cundy takes the piss out everyone, that’s his shtick and I wouldn’t take it too seriously. Ultimately, we were pish at the World Cup and deserve the stick. And if/when England get pumped out, we’ll take the piss out of them. Schadenfreude is an excellent aspect of football
@JNorthcroft Something that needs to be addressed is the now regular migration of young Scottish players to English academies. Can understand clubs cashing into an extent, perhaps financial incentives need to be put in place based on academy players playing x amount of first team games?
@hampdenroarpod Thought the centre mid pairing didn’t work - I felt it nullified both McGinn and Mctominay and we really missed Gilmour. Doak a real highlight, central defence pairing also very good. No real press from us but not sure if that was down to the heat and for conserving energy
@scotball_ I always feared this with him. Much faster pathway to the first team plus emotional ties with his brother playing for them and limited connection to Scotland as he spent very little time here. How do you convince someone to potentially wait 3 - 5 years?
@lewisdufc01 Maybe it will convince other investors of a similar profile to Bloom to invest into Scottish football? We know that Ogren has wanted out for years, and a lot of eyes will be on Scottish football right now, so perhaps it raises our profile and brings in new investment?
@BarryAnderson_ You can hugely respect the job Dykes has done for us whilst also thinking there are more in-form players who might deserve a chance. That being said, the sentimental part of me wants him in the squad because he missed Euro 2024, and I think he’s a good influence
@hampdenroarpod Lack of dynamism amongst the strikers. So often standing around waiting for things to happen instead of creating space or spinning the defenders. With Dykes on the wane, Adams seemingly out of form and Hirst clearly not up to it, our options up top are poor
@The_Young_Team Really pleasing to see that type of goal. Hopefully this style isn’t coached out of them and crucially they are given a pathway to the first team
@hampdenroarpod Agreed. Big risk that he would’ve used us for the World Cup and then pulled out of squads or retired thereafter.
Only negative is that it puts a whole lot of pressure on Ben Gannon-Doak being fit
@RaeComm Completely agree on Burke. Game changed when BGD went off. Pace gives you so much going forward, however people underestimate the nullifying effect it can have on teams going forward. Dorgu had free reign to push forward with little threat of being caught in behind
