@IanEonIon1@uscfan981 I was born and raised there, but I prefer "idiots out WANDERING around." Walking implies a sense of purpose, and what idiot has that?
@audiohymn My parents just left brochures and information packets of military boarding schools and academies around the house when I was in my early teens to let me know that living at home and their rules weren't so bad.
@FloreFlos He was only going about 2 mph, and I was in the headlights the whole way. After a couple of hundred feet, he let me back in the car. My sister and I were church quiet the rest of the way.
@FloreFlos My dad tried to get my sister and I to stop bickering with each other, so he told us the next person to make any noise would have to walk. I was the first, and I then found myself walking in the MN forest on a new moon. Dad followed me in the car.
@AuthorJFuller My grandfather died at end of my junior year in high school, and I couldn't believe how much the casket alone cost. Next year in high school, I was bound and determined to make my own casket in shop class. Ended up making a 4 posted bed instead because the instructor said no.
@littledystopia @btmrsgarden @cryptochloeee @ChefAnthonyDC I know Sampeornas were banned (my go to in college while I was still in school). I think Djarum (sp?) were still available then. Who remembers throwing their clothes in the washer before you went to bed so you didn't gag on the smell the next morning
@ChefAnthonyDC Nights at the drive in with the big bottles of T.J. Swan's "Easy Nights" or "Mellow Days" while the car next to us was huffing nitrous oxide from spent whipped cream cans. Good times.. The hangovers, though, were biblical. Old Testament biblical
@SandRancher12 I know what you mean. The worst in my book was the small utility trailers in the army behind a 2 1/2 ton truck. They were about 3' narrower than the truck, and you had to back up blind. If you saw it in either mirror, you knew you were effed and had to start over.
@TweeetsOfDogs Dante' the beagle and Stella the ragle (rat terrier, beagle mix) checking out the northern perimeter. Both are rescues. Good at letting us know someone is there, but the beagle will try to lick you to death, and the ragle will bark at you from the upstairs bedroom.
@historyinmemes My first experience with AutoCad was version 2 and was DOS based. I'm still using the laster version almost 40 years later. Also, I still have my original drafting table, and I now collect old drafting sets as a hobby. Every now and then, I will draw something on my table
@joncoopertweets Scuttle the boat and swim for shore. Not taking any chances of 1 or 2 them throwing me out and taking the boat and having to swim anyway.
@TweeetsOfDogs My 2 rescues. The beagle (Dante') was 7 when we adopted him 4 years ago. The Beagle/Rat Terrier (Stella Luna) mix was 2 when she came to live with us 2 years ago. She came out of a hoarding situation where there were 31 other dogs in the house.
@CalltoActivism My hometown has a Facebook page dedicated to people who paint rocks and then hide them around town for people to find. The idea is to find a rock and then post it to #bellevueiowarocks and then hide it again for someone else. The kids love it. Some of the artwork is very good
