We have launched our first satellite into space. 🛰️The first satellite of its kind, the Carbonite-2 has completed its initial checks and is now supplying detailed imagery and footage. These will soon be sent straight to the cockpits of our fighter jets.

@irvgirl @highwaysagency If drivers did 30mph and it’s safe should Highways close the Mway because drivers can’t be trusted to obey posted advisory/limits? I don’t know the circumstances but my commute home this morning was full of impatient twonks. I saw countless car/truck wrecks - the dog upset me😳

@irvgirl @highwaysagency I should add a friend of mine is highways and they recovered an elderly Boxer dog this morning that’d been tied up next to motorway... in amongst the snow carnage, genuinely amazed someone could abandon a dog! Highways agency aren’t the problem - it’s the people who use Highways!

@irvgirl @highwaysagency If you can’t stop within the distance available - driver - not highways are responsible for driving too fast! In conditions like this it’s difficult to judge but I drove from LHR to Shropshire this morn and @highwaysagency didn’t need to close Mway - drivers needed to behave!

@irvgirl @highwaysagency I disagree. @highwaysagency aren’t responsible for the appalling weather or poor standards of driving by motorists. The drivers need to take personal responsibility. Highways mop up the mess when it goes wrong, drivers excessive speed for the conditions is the cause IMO.
