@Blutman27@CFBPlayoff Yeah, but just think about all that money that was made. Salesmen will sell anything they can, they don’t care about the quality of said product.
@BudElliott3 Crazy idea… How about they keep a committee, use BCS model, and AP Poll points for the whole season and average all 3. Teams 1-12 get in, regardless of Conference. 95% marquee matchups.
Oh they probably decided to throw the Michigan game. They didn’t want to play Oregon for Conference Championship and risk any injuries to key players. But they would have rather play Oregon in the playoffs where your reward is a National Championship. If some other team (Penn St or Indian) had to play Oregon in said championship game that would give you another film against a quality opponent to study and prepare for Oregon rematch. Or, they were just playing the long con all year, got in the playoffs, and then unleashed their full potential that everyone thought or knew they had in the preseason. I guess I would have responded with something along these lines. Hypothetical observation of course, no program would ever go that far, would they. I mean, seeing how College Football has changed so much and a couple losses on the year you still have some wiggle room to get in the playoffs.
@BrooksAustinBA Pimpin ain’t easy… seriously, the content y’all pump out, your spin or perspective you apply to film is top notch. And the kicker is how effective and whole heartedly your pontification comes across.
