@LukeBerndt@AppleSupport So stupid. Google did the same thing to my play account. So now my Google account can never have a play store account. Despite the fact that it's a workspace account that I pay for.
As the media focuses on stories of homeowners refusing to evacuate, Florida has quietly abandoned thousands upon thousands of incarcerated people to the mercy of a catastrophic hurricane.
This thread is already horrifying, and Milton just made landfall ten minutes ago…
@newanon11 @JohnnyLoveless @KamalaHQ A company is supposed to generate profits for shareholders. A government is supposed to ensure equality and justice for its citizens. Very different things.
Glad to see the Rosslyn Marriott situation being addressed. But shouldn't @ArlingtonVA also consider other places that require outsized use of public safety resources public nuisances? Clarendon comes to mind.
When a bar needs EMS for customers two, three, or even four times in a single night isn't that a public nuisance? When a bar has its own private security along with a squad of @ArlingtonVaPD, deputy sheriffs and other officers that can instantly be at the establishment, yet still regularly has assaults and fights, isn't that a public nuisance? Isn't it likely that the real problem is unchecked overserving and overcrowding?
It's time for Arlington County to publicly share detailed stats from the Nightlife detail weekly. How many calls for fights? How many calls for disorderly drunks? How many arrests? How many assault charges (somewhat available in the daily crime report)? How many calls for fire and EMS?
A lot of resources are sent to Clarendon every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's important for Arlington to protect an important economic engine like Clarendon. But it's also time for taxpayers to get better transparency with Arlington providing frequent data on how things are going.
