The amount of money @Criterion got out of me during this recent sale is truly troubling. In other news, I think it's safe to say I can open my very own Family Video now.
@TylerLaRiviere It was really cool to walk past the projector as if it was a museum piece in GR. The Seven Bridges experience was great though as well for the experience alone. They had a nice introduction that I think set the stage for the unfamiliar.
"Nearly a century old (it opened two months before the Great Depression) the 700-seat theater, which flaunts a neon marquee that towers over Lakeview’s Southport Avenue, has never been more popular."

@geoffkeighley Your father left quite the legacy in cinema! He really changed moviegoing experiences for us all. Not unlike what you've done for the video game industry. I wish he could have seen this one with us. I'll be going to the closest 70mm IMAX that I can!
@vibebuild I disagree that he "earned" it. But overall, it sounds like you're upset I'm voicing an opinion. I agree with you, and I'm not buying it. But I'm also allowed to share concerns for the future if this becomes more commonplace. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Not a fan of this. I mean, I guess he's alive but we're taking roles from voice performers who would actually put in the work and READ the book.
Why hire anyone when we can just use the voices of the retired and dead?

@vibebuild Yeah, but I'm not going to make shit when Michael "Out To Lunch" Caine shops his voice out without doing any of that work. We're shooting ourselves in the foot by not promoting new talent and voice actors. Instead, we'll wind up with the same voices we've been hearing for decades
