Uczcijmy minutą ciszy fakt, że dziś setki tysięcy Polaków z Polski, Amerykanów z USA i Niemców z Niemiec w ułamku sekundy przestało istnieć.
Nie był to meteoryt rozmiarów boiska uderzający w kulę ziemską, a jedynie ukraiński dron trafiający w centrum danych Yandexu ;)
With Yandex data centers under constant attack, I’m starting to worry that the White House will issue yet another demand to stop the strikes. After all, it would be a tragedy if Russia’s valuable bot traffic dried up just before the midterms.
As a Balkaner, I recognise this archetype from across an ocean:
People keep looking for logic in Trump’s decisions when the simpler explanation is self-evident: he's in it to enrich himself, his family and his circle. Once you analyse his behaviour through the question “Who in his family and inner circle stands to gain?”, it all starts to make sense real fucking fast.
He relaxed sanctions to facilitate Russian diesel exports weeks after his son-in-law and best buddy (Witkoff) went scouting for prime real-estate development locations in Moscow. Please.
Anyone that has grown up in the Balkans knows this: the state stops being something you serve and becomes something you use for personal gain. Yes, it is actually that fucking simple.
There is nothing patriotic about defending a leader, a party or a movement at the expense of your country and your children's future. No matter how much you hate the other side. Nothing.
Actually, I think it's worth saying once again that we in Ukraine deeply appreciate all the Americans who, in one way or another, support Ukraine and sympathize with us. Who still do, despite everything, after all these years, sincerely and selflessly, simply because it is in keeping with their values.
We know and remember that there are very many such Americans, even a majority, up to 70%, across both parties.
These are the people working in the corridors of power and trying to make a difference, those who actively volunteer to help Ukraine, and simply those who care and stay with us all these years.
There are a lot of emotions, a lot of hurt feelings, and there may also be plenty of unfair and careless words directed at America. But we extend our hands in friendship and gratitude to everyone who has stood, and continues to stand, on the side of good amid all this madness.
And don't forget, we still have one hell of a massive international drinking party to throw together in Kyiv on the first Christmas time after the war.
Today, Russia expressed its thanks for the lifting of sanctions on diesel exports by dropping five glide bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. As of now, sadly, twelve people have been confirmed killed, including three children. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Another fourteen people have been injured, and two of them are in critical condition – the doctors are fighting to save their lives. The status of twelve more people who may have been there is still being verified. All emergency services are at the scene, and search-and-rescue operations are underway. Overnight, thirteen of our regions came under attack. Residential buildings, infrastructure, and railway facilities have been damaged.
Last night confirmed once again that in Russia, they take any easing of pressure to mean they can keep fighting, to mean they can keep dropping bombs on cities. Different signals are needed. Russia must understand that it needs to stop the war, and for that to happen, Russia must feel its losses. Right now, it is our long-range capabilities that are ensuring this. And we will respond to Russian strikes. I thank everyone who is helping.
This is Blackie and Seaman James "Lofty" Martin of the research ship Discovery. When a violent roll of the ship caused Blackie to slide into the icy Antarctic waters during a 1929-1931 expedition, Martin immediately leapt into the sea to rescue her. Martin could not reach Blackie, so another crewman was dangled over the water on a bowline until he was able to snatch the cat. The soggy moggy spent several hours in the warm engine room drying out. Blackie was not affected by the incident and later had several kittens.

President Zelenskyy’s comment on US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s remarks that the war in Ukraine is at a "strategic stalemate" and that there are now "no prospects for a negotiated settlement":
"You cannot negotiate future economic projects with Russians on the one hand and, on the other, claim that we are in some kind of diplomatic stalemate. We are not in a diplomatic stalemate.
Shut down Russia’s entire economy. Shut Russia's mouth. Stop feeding them through your sales. Impose sanctions on their weapons.
Open Starlink for Ukraine. You opened it when responding to Iran, after all. Everything worked there. Israel completely controlled the skies over Iran. So when you need it to work, it works.
It costs them nothing to help Ukraine. And I said quite frankly: help us protect our skies and gain dominance there.
Then Putin will sit down at the negotiating table. Why? Because he will lose everything. In two or three months, he will lose everything.
And instead, we are waiting for the Chinese to develop an equivalent and hand it over to Russians.
This is not a stalemate - this is called a lack of will."
The 7 stages of Western "concern"
1 This is concerning
2 This is increasingly concerning
3 We are now deeply concerned
4 We are now gravely concerned
5 There will be consequences
6 We standing in solidarity
7 It is important not to escalate the situation
Ukraine is amazing! Responsible for the depletion of US stockpiles of weapons that were never sent to Ukraine and for the price of diesel that was stable throughout months Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries, and only spiked when Trump attack attacked Iran.
Russia Feb 2022: We need to invade Ukraine as they have biolabs producing Russophobic weaponised bats that make people gay.
Russia Oct 2026: Someone died at one of our biolabs that makes the bubonic plague.
This is such an iconic moment in Magnum, P.I. because these two episodes kicked off Season 3 and were such an eye-opener. In the first two seasons, Thomas is a Vietnam vet barely scraping by, but he's lighthearted and carefree. You know that he, T.C., and Rick saw some shit over in 'Nam, but now they're living the good life in Hawaii. But this moment... this is the moment everyone realizes Thomas can be cold as ice and isn't to be fucked with. Ivan had every bit of it coming, and Thomas didn't even blink when he gave it to him.
Don Frye is such an underrated professional wrestler, this finish to his match with Murakami actually had me fucking wincing. It’s sick as fuck.

Some of you may remember Martyn, the bull who wandered into a Ukrainian military position in 2023 and ended up living with the soldiers for more than a year. Eventually, one of the servicemen took him home from the front.
Well, here’s what happened years later. ❤️
That soldier has since turned his home into a refuge for animals rescued from the front. Other servicemen can bring him abandoned animals they encounter and cannot bear to leave behind.
Martyn now has plenty of company: donkeys, goats, pigs, raccoons, geese, sheep, lots of cats and other animals, all brought back from the war zone and given a safe home.
Russia became the world's largest country by peacefully defending itself in other people's countries who always attack us just as our army is accidently massed on their border.
