@Ashevegas There appears to be no seating, bathrooms, lighting, or even other basic amenities.
I have seen people there all times of the day and night, sitting with bags and luggage. The Greyhound website says its open 24 hours a day. Also talk to employees at Shell across Patton
Saturday morning preparations for buildings to accommodate at least 1,000 people in a tiny space in a quiet neighborhood. What was once home to bear, deer & other animals will be home to high end animals of a different nature. Most likely from Atlanta, Charlotte, NYC. This is us.
How about this in your front yard or back yard? This is on Aiken Road in North Buncombe. A site that is NOT suited for a 296-unit apartment building. Who was in charge of this fiasco? Come on out and take a look. Pay attention. It could happen tomorrow to you. We told them so.
The destruction continues. In a teeny, tiny rural neighborhood. Imagine a quiet place with wetland forest, a healthy ecosystem and home to wildlife. Now imagine this. Who does this? Chris Eller. Chris Day. Their cronies. Shameful. Adding 1,000 people here is scary. And wrong.
The day we found out a 296 unit apt complex would be built in our rural neighborhood, the plans were already completed by the developers. We had 10 days to appeal to a corrupt BOA. They had been planning for a year. We were doomed. How does this happen? @buncombeGov#truth
People say this won’t happen in their backyard. But if you live in Buncombe Co. it certainly can. Pay attention to what the rules are. The developers do. This development is literally in peoples’ backyard. Up to property lines. Don’t want this to happen to you? Fight harder!
@MackWick Mackenzie - I have shared this concern about "screening" with county staff. It's crucial that the county be a source of trusted and accurate info. In this case, I don't think you have gotten a clear answer to your question yet.
