NEWS: Washington transfer Zoom Diallo commits to Kentucky, source told @TheFieldOf68
The 6-4 guard averaged 15.7 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Huskies last season.
Here’s my thoughts right now, as we sit after all of the roster decisions that really matter on 4/8/26:
This season was a disaster, we all know it. They made calculated decisions in exit meetings, being upfront with every single player about role, money, etc. Maybe for some guys there was more wiggle room than others, but it’s very apparent Kentucky wasn’t bringing you back unless you signed up for what they were offering. Malachi Moreno declared for the NBA Draft, Kam Williams is returning, those are the only two guys who signed up for what was offered.
Nobody else wanted to sign up for it, and they’re out the door, rightfully so because they were all spoiled financially last year and it was a horrible season.
Now there’s A BUNCH OF MONEY, spots are clear, and it’s basically a full reset.
Now Pope and staff just have to go absolutely NAIL this over the next few weeks. Everything is right in front of them to completely turn the ship next season. Let’s see if they can do it!

There are now 1,650 total D-1 players who have entered the portal.
My guess is about 100 of them are walk-ons.
That means about 1,550 scholarship players have already entered the portal - of about 5,000 total.
And about 1,300 or 1,400 of those 5,000 are out of eligibility.
So that’s about 1,550 out of around 3,650 already in - which is 42 percent.
Malachi Moreno announces that he is testing the NBA Draft waters while maintaining his college eligibility.
If he makes the decision to return to school, will return to Kentucky.
“If I’m back in college next season, it’ll be right here with Big Blue Nation.”
