They also do not have the authority to tow or boot without 2 preexisting tickets of 60 days or more. B25-0435 has provisions to address these.

@charlesallen Hopefully the Fraudulent Vehicle Tag Enforcement Amendment Act of 2023 is right behind it. Otherwise we just raised the incentive to use obscured or counterfeit tags. A practice which is largely unenforceable by MPD or DPW.

@BrianneKNadeau @DCDPW Please make sure the newest version clearly gives MPD the authority to stop vehicles with covered, expired or fraudulent tags. This was raised a few times at the hearings. DPW parked vehicle enforcement only solves part of the problem.
