sports and music are very similar to me. both offer catharsis and a state of flow to the athlete/artist at an individual level; maybe more importantly, both create ‘collective effervescence’—a temporary loss of self-awarness and ego and feelings of community and joy. i love both.

for the fist time, i noticed someone on the street taking photos of me (presumably) bc i was sporting an intensely all-blue look. felt cool, then incredibly self conscious of being dragged by her and her friends in their group chat.
