The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Alert for icy conditions in northern Leicestershire and Rutland from 6pm until 10am tomorrow.

5 years ago today we sadly lost our Crew Manager Paul ‘TL’ Wilkens.

Today a cycle ride took place in his honour. And crews spent time in the memorial garden remembering the good times they shared together.

Today Ollie’s wish to become a firefighter became reality.

Ollie got to use the jaws of life on a car, put out a fire, saved a casualty, and was also working at height in the ALP. Safe to say we have a firefighter in the making.

On Saturday Crew Manager Pat Carnan hung up his helmet for the final time.

After a career spanning 18 years he has decided to take his well earned retirement.

We have just attended a road traffic collision involving 2 vehicles. 1 person had to be cut free from the vehicle.
