Having seen bankers in family I can understand. Their leaves are very similar to the leaves us medical residents get. On paper YES, but as soon as you ask for one you get frowned at AND DENIED.
So those leaves are basically useless.
My brother works in SBI, he reported back to work within a week of having a major ankle surgery which eventually affected the recovery, and he is trying to get a window to get eye surgery done but hasn't been able to make space for it yet.
The only days of respite are the days when the bank is closed i.e. holidays and weekends (that too not for the senior officials, they keep having daylong meetings on Sundays too) so taunting them for "you get 30 leaves" is not fair.
It's a VERY HIGH pressure job, and work hours are grossly underreported. On an average a banking personal spends minimum 3-4 hrs in the bank easily after the doors close for customers. It's not before 8-9 pm that a banker reaches home on an average work day. So them asking for one extra day off can be looked beyond without sniggering, trust me.
A friend who works at SBI told me:
The bank may close for customers at 4 PM, but employees still have to keep working.
Sometimes till 7-8 PM.
Many people don't know this. 🙌
2hrs of lunch break . I’ve heard this enough . Somebody I know very closely works in uco bank and barely gets half an hr for lunch . God knows what bank allows 2 hr of lunch break
So,let me get this straight..A typical PSU banker already has 12 Casual leaves + 33 PLs plus Sundays, two Saturdays a month, and holidays for every single festival out there..Y’all are working only 200 days a month,9 to 5,that too with at least 2 hours of lunch break..and,u want more leave..
Pretty privilege is so real . Yes rhiti was wrong but so was uditi and moreover she wasn’t even ready to perform task . What r you there for ? Next level attitude #BiggBoss20
