@JamesWilco82 Good to hear! My dad has had two, still with us and doing well, walked 20 miles round London on Friday. Don't let it stop him from normality
UPDATE:
For those travelling to Budapest on Saturday:
All flights from London will be landing at Terminal 1, which will be temporary reopened for the Final.
The main road to the city will be open only to public transport (no private cars)from 6am on Saturday, and there will be also Champions Express shuttle buses going straight to Fans Meeting Point. They will be frequent, TfBP added 100s of extra buses, so they should go every 2-3 minutes.
If you want to take a taxi from Terminal 1, expect them to be be around 20,000 forint (or £50). Public transport is free on Saturday, including the shuttle from the airport, for fans arriving with match tickets.
If you arriving by a car from different cities, use one of the P&Rs, and public transport from there. Metro will be more frequent as well, every 2-3 minutes, and there will be more trams as usual, too.
Also, when flying back, arrive to the airport at least 2.5 hours before your flight as there are likely to be long queues.
They expecting twice as many flights as normal to arrive to Budapest at the weekend, so the airport will be extremely busy. There will be 700 flights landing/taking off with 80-85k passengers each day between Friday and Sunday, which is double of the normal schedule, in total 2,000 flights and 250k passengers. There will be only one runway in operation as the other one will be used to park the extra aircrafts.
The main fan zone will be on Heroes Square (Champions Festival), and there will be two additional fan zones, one for Arsenal fans in Városliget (PSG colours will be not allowed to enter) and one for PSG fans in MTK Sportpark (Arsenal colours will be not allowed to enter).
There will be 30 totemposts around the city center, helping with directing the fans. Also, there will be travel coordinators around each of them, many of them speaking English/French.
There will be 4,000 police officers on Saturday, and according to them both set of fans can be problematic. They received a lot of training in the past 3 seasons, a group of them went to last year's final in Munich, and also both sets of semifinals this season in Madrid/London and Paris/Munich.
If you need to call the Police, dial 112; on Saturday they will have English and French speaking staff on the line as well for the travelling fans.
Enjoy your stay in Budapest! COYG!
