A Mother's Regret

Sex sells. We all know that, and people have the freedom to see my drawing that way. But that is not my intention when I draw female characters.

The reason I draw nudity is that I try to set aside the modern sense of shame that has been attached to the female breast, and find out a more original perspective: the ancient time when breasts were not automatically linked to sexuality, but were simply understood as a distinctive female feature and a nurturing organ.

Female forms simply exist, and every woman grows up with them. The curves of the female form and the presence of breasts contribute to a kind of beauty that is distinct from that of men, and that is all. That is why my characters could carry them without shame, simply showing themselves as they are.

I know that in modern society, female nudity has long been associated with sexuality and shame. But at least here, in my work, I have prepared a place where you guys can step away from that noise for a moment.
