Last night I brought Narcan to a girl who was unresponsive on the floor while her friends screamed at me that it was unnecessary and not to give it. Her lips were turning blue. I did it anyway. She abruptly woke up about 15 seconds after. For the love of god get Narcan trained.

We are mourning.
Black people sought and slaughtered in #Buffalo.
Children and teachers gunned down at school in #Uvalde.
Persistent racism and gun violence throughout the nation.
And today, we remember #GeorgeFloyd, who should be alive raising his daughter.

Don’t let this be whitewashed into some sort of “Buffalo Strong” performance by white Buffalo kids like me who grew up in segregated suburbs that produced this very violence. White Buffalo get radical for gun control, reparations for the East Side, & deplatforming white supremos.
They just went to the grocery store. Buying breakfast for their kids. Looking for fresh vegetables. Getting the ingredients for Sunday dinner. They just went to the grocery store, and now they’re gone. It’s unacceptable. It’s devastating. It’s terrorism. It’s white supremacy.
#Buffalo is one of the most segregated cities in the country. It’s also one of the most racist and most impoverished. These things are all connected and they are not a coincidence. You don’t need to look to the Deep South to find intense racism & segregation. It’s right here.
