Seattle Mayor. Showing up same way she missed all her debates…. Invisible w/ zero impact, yet over-reaching & present in all the wrong ways.
Congrats Seattle, from bad to absolutely worse.
If i could leave, believe me I would. Not that easy.
🚨 This week Elon posted "my son is learning Mandarin" in Chinese characters from Beijing..
that same day.. 6-year-old X Æ A-Xii was standing inside the Great Hall of the People in a traditional vest and tiger-head bag..
in the same room as Tim Cook.. Jensen Huang.. and Chinese Premier Li Qiang..
and the wildest part..
Elon didn't bring him as a photo op.. he brought him as a student.. China is Tesla's single largest market.. the Shanghai Gigafactory builds more cars than any other Tesla plant on earth.. and Elon's 6-year-old is already in the room where the deals get made..
this is the same playbook every single time..
Elon brought kids to White House events.. to factory floors.. to rocket launches.. and described one son as his "emotional support human" at a state dinner.. he doesn't separate family from business.. he treats global market access as parenting..
your kid is learning multiplication tables..
his kid is learning Mandarin inside the building where America's most important trade relationships get decided.
I'll share more updates shortly. Turn on notifications, this is very important.
🚨 ICONIC COLUMBIA TOWER CLUB SHUTS DOWN AFTER 41 YEARS 🚨
Seattle’s legendary private club — perched atop the city’s tallest building with 360° views where billion-dollar deals were sealed — is now dark. Furniture cleared. Lights off. Doors locked for good.
The Columbia Tower Club, a downtown staple since 1985, closed its doors on April 30, 2026 (restaurant area April 24). Members are being shifted to another club in South Lake Union.
Why? Downtown Seattle’s office vacancy rate is crushing it at ~36-38% — highest in the nation. Companies fleeing. Amazon cutting space. Starbucks shifting major ops to Nashville. Even Howard Schultz eyeing Miami.
And Seattle’s Mayor Katie Wilson’s response to the millionaire/business exodus?
“If they leave… like bye.” 👋 (with a laugh and wave)
This isn’t just one club closing. It’s a glaring symbol of a downtown hollowing out under extreme policies, high taxes, crime, and uncertainty.
Is this the beginning of the end for Seattle’s core? Or can it bounce back?
Drop your thoughts below 👇 What would it take to save downtown?

This baby went from sad/confused to absolute JOY the second those glasses went on.
First time seeing the world clearly. That smile says everything.
♥️ Heart = melted.
Who else is obsessed with these moments?
Seattle's socialist Mayor, Katie Wilson, laughs and says "BYE" to the millionaires leaving Washington.
Girl, WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GET THE MONEY TO FUND YOUR DUMB IDEAS?!?!
(answer: the middle class bc that's how socialism works)
These people are so dumb it's unbelievable.
The Lodge has won!! We’ve been absolved of any wrongdoing. I’ve stayed quiet while all of this has been going on, but I can’t tell you how happy I am for the players, staff, and partners. We’ll be reopening soon!! LFG!!!!
In 1992, a 19-year-old built an online multiplayer game called Legends of Future Past.
It ran on CompuServe. Won an award from Computer Gaming World. Shut down on the last day of 1999.
The source code didn't survive.
Thirty years later, he gave Claude Code what remained. Hundreds of script files written in a programming language he'd invented himself. A GM manual written for non-technical game masters. A gameplay recording from 1996.
The instruction: figure out what this scripting language does and rebuild the game.
What happened next is the part worth sitting with.
Claude reconstructed the grammar of a programming language that has never existed anywhere outside those game servers. No documentation. No Stack Overflow answers. No training data. It inferred the rules entirely from the scripts themselves and a manual written for people who weren't programmers.
Then it rebuilt the entire game.
2,273 rooms. 1,990 items. 297 types of monsters. 88 spells. Full crafting system. Combat mechanics.
A world that took months to build originally was reconstructed in a weekend.
The thing he keeps coming back to: this isn't Claude doing something it was trained on. Nobody trained it on his scripting language. It did what a skilled human reverse-engineer would do - read examples, find patterns, build a mental model, test assumptions.
It just did it in hours instead of weeks.
The game is free to play. The code is open source. Thirty years of silence ended in a weekend.
@sama No one sane is defending someone throwing a Molotov at your house. But hiding behind that to launder “we actually changed the world” while you hollowed out a nonprofit and turned it into an $800B engine is exactly the narrative work you say you’re suddenly worried about.
I just accidentally found the portrait of Iryna Zarutska in Los Angeles!
I’d heard it was somewhere in LA but didn’t know where exactly until just now
It’s at 7th & Grand in DTLA for those who want to check it out
Hauntingly beautiful
@bennyjohnson I have to 100% agree on this. If he was "incompetent" he should have been kept away from the public the first time he committed a crime AND stay there until he was "competent" again.
We cannot have Evil walking among us.
