I wrote an essay for @guernicamag about what it’s like to not be depressed anymore. Hypothetically, of course. Aha just kidding. Anyway, you can read it at https://t.co/GFE3xqctkB @ Psychiatry https://t.co/sDEaEVa1UL

I've GOT to get my hands on this #book when it pubs: Med student @briagodley's NO ACUTE DISTRESS: A MEMOIR OF MEDICAL SCHOOL, MENTAL ILLNESS, & FEELING FINE, BASICALLY, abt a Black woman training to become a psychiatrist while dealing w/ #depression, tracing her family's #history
I'm not some sort of COVID alarmist... I've tried to stay pretty even-keeled and have been burned by being too optimistic at times... but I find the rising case rates in the US (and for that matter also Europe) pretty worrisome right now.
Here’s the paper (“Racial Justice and HIV in the United States: Now Is the Time”) on which part of yesterday’s lecture was based.

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s #kasslecture: “All Policy is Health Policy: Pathways to HIV (and COVID-19)” at #IDWeek2020! @UNC_ID @IDWeek2020 @HIVMA
Are you listening to @AdaAdimora giving the @IDSAInfo Kass lecture? If not, head there immediately! #IDWeek2020
She is giving us 🔥🔥🔥 for anyone who thinks policy is not our lane... we’re talking about felon disenfranchisement, voting rights, prison pipeline...join us!
Important call to action in @jiasociety by @AdaAdimora and colleagues. Ending the #HIV pandemic in the US will not happen without addressing structural racism and associated inequities.
@briagodley constantly inspires and motivates me in her pursuit of health equity and racial justice. Check out her new article in @jiasociety! My friends are extremely cool!
