Aliko Dangote started a telecommunication company and failed.

He also started a textile company and failed terribly.

He started a Dangote Airlines and failed a few months later.

He then started a tomato sauce factory that also failed after a few months of operation.

Aliko Dangote this time started Dangote Millers which he failed to maintain and ended up selling it to South African company for $200m before buying it back at half the price he sold it.

This time Dangote started Dangote cement which became his first successful business. Sugar business followed and so did oil refinery.

It was an honor to attend the Iteso Annual Leadership Conference at Kitale National Polytechnic this afternoon, graced by the presence of Dr. Oku Kaunya, Member of Parliament for Teso North and Spokesperson for the Iteso community in Kenya.

The community's acknowledgement of my advocacy for equitable resource allocation is a testament to their remarkable political maturity and objectivity, and I am truly humbled.

The comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding presented during the conference outlined key areas that are crucial to the community's development. The pursuit of inclusive appointments in government positions, the preservation of Iteso heritage through a cultural center, addressing historical land injustices, and fostering peace among neighboring communities are all vital initiatives that resonate deeply.

I am committed to standing in solidarity with the Iteso community as we work collectively towards realizing these objectives, and I look forward to our collaborative efforts yielding fruitful results.
