There's about $25B left in the provider relief fund, @SecBecerra says, plus $8B for rural providers.
There's been some uncertainty about how much is left.
Fantastic @NicholasFlorko story on the sudden rush of off-cycle campaign cash to pharma industry ally Sen. Bob Menendez. Illustrates that executives view the Senate as the true drug pricing battleground https://t.co/vbnSu4z4li @statnews
Biden’s families plan leaves out both lowering drug prices and lowering the Medicare eligibility age, despite pressure from hill D’s ranging from Jared Golden to Pramila Jayapal https://t.co/mP5xGDIDB3
Notable bipartisan letter here from House Energy & Commerce leaders asking HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra to crack down on hospitals' noncompliance with Trump-era price transparency rules https://t.co/IybFDlg7vR
New story: Dems planning major push to lower drug prices as part of infrastructure bill
Including HR3 is priority for House Dem leaders

New: In a lobbying win for hospitals, Senate leaders have reached a deal to extend Medicare pay bumps through the end of 2021, per bill text obtained by STAT. Senate Majority Leader Schumer said there are plans for the Senate to vote this week

@PeterSullivan4 Repealing the Part D noninterference clause is tough to do with such a slim Dem majority, especially as it is one of the few policy provisions where the interests of pharma and PBMs/insurers/generics are aligned. None of them want the government negotiating/dictating prices.
