A woman was attacked on Kitsilano Beach in broad daylight with a piece of wood, left bleeding from the head and slipping in and out of consciousness.

The accused spent less than 48 hours in custody before being released back into the community.

This is exactly why Canadians are losing faith in our justice system. After years of Liberal soft-on-crime policies, violent offenders are too often released while victims are left wondering if anyone is actually on their side.

Canadians deserve safe streets, real consequences, and a justice system that puts victims first.

75% of Canada's agri-food exports go to the United States. They pay a premium for our product. And yet we booed their anthem, banned their liquor, and implemented counter-tariffs arguably in breach of our own trade agreement. Mexico ( a country that had a wall built against it ) handled this relationship better than we did. Because they focused on fundamentals instead of feelings.

The obvious answer is we need a good diplomatic relationship with the US. Yet everything the federal government is currently doing is leading to the opposite of that.

British politicians made a cold, deliberate calculation. The Muslim bloc vote was worth more than the safety of working class white girls.

And so they looked the other way. For 70 years. Across 150 council districts. While 250,000 children were destroyed.

Now look at Canada. We have politicians building the same electoral coalitions. Passing the same speech laws that silence the same questions. Practicing the same two tiered justice. Teaching the same curriculum that conditions people to fear the racism accusation more than the truth.

We are not watching a foreign tragedy. We are watching our own future if we don't have the courage to say what this actually is.
