Republicans are trying to sneak three bills through THIS week but we MUST expose them so we can

Up first, is SB 1933, a bill that empowers a MAGA secretary of state to seize election authority from county officials. The bill passed on a party line vote, with all Republicans voting in favor and all Democrats voting against. It now heads to the Republican-controlled House.

Second is SB1070, a bill to enable Texas to pull out of the Electronic Registration Information Center which could derail and undermine our voter registration systems.

Finally, SB 1750 would force all counties with populations over 1 million to eliminate the office of Elections Administrator entirely. If SB 1750 becomes law it will oust elections administrators for Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Austin, placing the responsibilities of election administration with the County Clerk and Tax Assessor-Collector. Over 14 million Texans — half the population of the state — would live in counties with NO ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATOR.

All these election bills are being based off the premise that the 2022 election in Harris County had significant problems

•The real reason for the proposed changes is because election deniers are most concerned about losing Texas. 

•They know that the voting power of Harris County could lead to the state flipping. Remember, Harris County is where one in seven Texas voters live

•The errors cited in Harris County that they say justify these actions are common across Texas counties, whether they are red, blue, or purple.

Survivors of Uvalde and Moms Demand Action pushed hard to make 21 the minimum age to buy an AR-style rifle. Today was the LAST DAY to get it done. And they did!

The NRA knows this is huge because, if sane gun reform can be done in Texas, it can be done ANYWHERE in America.

But the NRA is hoping people will forget about this victory. They want us to be shocked into silence, feeling hopeless.
