Friday marked Will’s return to the baseball field for, the first time since February 13th. He came into the game in the bottom of the 7th and got the final 3 outs to earn the save. To some, it may not seem like a big deal, but for Will being back out there on the mound helping his brothers was a big accomplishment. For those that may not realize the importance of this accomplishment, 3 weeks ago Will was laying in a hospital bed inside of the Pediatric ICU at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta after suffering 2 seizures at practice he previous night. For tonight was not about him coming into the game to get the final 3 outs, it was about him just being out there on on the mound and pitching again. No matter what the outcome of the game had been tonight, Will won because he was back out on the field, playing the game he loves with his brothers.

@SwainEvent None of these kids would have been able to play for Coach Summitt. She demanded her players be accountable and play hard no matter what. The kids today want to be coddled and get paid. There is no pride anymore in wearing the Lady Vol uniform.
BASEBALL is such a GREAT but tough sport. Failure around every corner and lots of time to dwell on it.. ‼️
If YOU love the game, you will learn to overcome adversity. You will learn to handle those failures, and YOU will be a better person because it 💯
I promise you 🙌
