I’m thrilled to finally share that I’ll be beginning a new chapter as Assistant Professor of Theology & Religious Studies at Molloy University this fall.
It’s bittersweet leaving Milwaukee and Marquette, but I’m so, so excited for this incredible opportunity in NYC.
After a rewatch, Season 2, Episode 7 (Forks) of @TheBearFX is cemented in the “all-time favorite episodes of TV” category for me. I’m honesty just grateful that it exists.
I’m always a little worried that I’ll insert my own research and projects on everything, but please forgive me for the following: I should also probably mention how much I love that this show is rooted in the effort it takes to live a life of authentic relationships
The third and fourth episodes of season two of @TheBearFX are among the most beautiful and inspiring love letters to creativity I’ve ever encountered. I needed them more than I knew. Thank you! I can’t wait to see what the rest of this season holds!
@aselak It’s a really friendly, conversational group! I haven’t been in two years, but I suspect you’ll have a great time, and I know they’ll love your paper!
For all of its strengths (and they are many), my favorite thing about Ted Lasso might be the nuance, honesty, and hope with which it wholeheartedly leans into real forgiveness
I was the exact right age for this movie to deeply develop my love of horror. I’m forever grateful, and I find it very strange that its perfect confluence of terror, beauty, despair, and patience somehow misses the radar of many
While doing research for a project, I realized Horror and Film Twitter failed — we kinda collectively forgot to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Gore Verbinski’s THE RING in October. To make up for it, here’s an image from it I’ll NEVER forget.
I’m still doing my annual scramble to catch up on all the great things I’d like to watch.
Stray observation: Rebecca Hall is a prodigious and staggering talent, somehow still under-appreciated and under-nominated. Her performance in Resurrection is an all-time-great.
Arriving at #SBLAAR2022 …eventually? The computer at the gate for my connecting flight cashed, so we’re currently waiting while the poor gate agents (who are very nice!) check IDs, then write down each passenger’s name and seat assignment on a notepad 😵💫
@JosephKGordon I have made it, and I hope you do too! 😂 Yes! We should definitely meet up, especially because I wasn’t able to make it to your Seton Hall lecture (a missed opportunity about which I’m still kicking myself!)
Theology and Religious Studies friends,
We should hang out together at #SBLAAR2022
I’m sharing this this now, as I suspect Twitter may be reduced to 3 blue checks in a trench coat by this time next week.
