I saw a post about a UPS driver getting reported for eating lunch in his truck.
Last week, our regular Amazon delivery driver pulled up and asked if she could park in front of our house to cool off.
She wasn’t feeling well the gas fumes in her van were making her sick.
We told her to pull into the shade right away.
Then we invited her into our shop to rest.
We set up a chair right in front of the cooler for her.
She sat down and we handed her a cold bottle of water.
It was such a small thing, but she really needed the break.
There’s nothing wrong with showing basic kindness.
These delivery workers are out there every day in tough conditions.
We’re all in this together.
A little compassion goes a long way.

after the disc announcement, players did something sony probably never expected: they started reading the terms of service. line by line. here's what's in there:

- moving to another country? sony is the only major platform that does not allow you to change your account region. the official suggestion: create a new account. everything you ever bought stays locked to the old one
- go inactive for 36 months, and sony may move to close your account. you get one email and six months to respond. after that, in the document's own words: "account closure is irreversible." the library goes with it (uk terms, sections 21.1–21.3, updated this april)
- the terms also warn sony can suspend or terminate your account over inaccurate information. your old address after a move counts as inaccurate

none of this is theory. the same ecosystem deletes 551 purchased movies from european libraries this september, and the closing ps3/vita stores promise your content stays downloadable "for the foreseeable future" - four words carrying thousands of libraries.

a disc never asked if your account was still active. the all-digital collection comes with a landlord. and you signed the lease years ago.

🚨This is exactly how ICE agents create the very situations they later use to justify murdering citizens.

In the video, they box in the vehicle of a U.S. citizen. They approach with guns already drawn, and try to open her car door… while repeatedly ordering her to unlock it, and ignoring anything she says.

And notice how they don’t identify themselves. They don’t explain why she’s being detained. They don’t tell her what crime they suspect her of committing.

To the person inside the car, it’s just a group of masked, armed men surrounding her vehicle and trying to force their way in.

That’s how panic starts.

And when people panic, move their car, or try to get away from what they reasonably perceive as a violent threat, ICE agents open fire, and later claim the vehicle was “used as a weapon.”

Law enforcement cannot detain people without legal justification. The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures, and officers are expected to clearly communicate their authority, and the basis for their actions.

They are supposed to de-escalate situations.

Instead, they use tactics to create fear and confusion… making it more likely someone will panic, and easier for agents to claim deadly force was necessary, while they violate the person’s constitutional rights.

When these tactics become standard practice, accountability becomes nonexistent.
